SEMYON KOBIALKA - CELLOBOY7

Greetings and salutations! Thank you for checking out the internet home of Semyon Kobialka, aka "Celloboy7”.  Semyon is a singer-songwriter cellist who strums and plucks the cello, using the instrument as the backbone of his original songs.  Constantly striving to push the bounds of what a cello can do in different genres of music, Semyon is busy working on new songs, new videos, and new ways of proving that the cello is the greatest instrument ever created.  

2012 is the start of two new musical projects for Semyon:  a music licensing project, Echo Lake Acoustics (aka "ELA" www.echolakeacoustics.com), in collaboration with some very talented Los Angeles musicians, and a new album on LiSem Records focusing on music from the Civil War era.  ELA has new clips of music going up on the website every week, so please click on the link and give the music a listen.

This new album of Civil War music is a collaboration with Semyon's father, Daniel Kobialka, and it is turning into a very special mix of family and music.  These melodies have stood the test of time for a reason, and it has been a joy to interpret them.  This mostly-instrumental album will be recorded this year and released at the end of the year or in early 2013.  For more information about Daniel Kobialka and LiSem records, please check out www.wonderofsound.com.
